2. Service Description
Canarist is an AI-powered monitoring and alerting service that tracks global events (tariff changes, regulatory updates, geopolitical events, supply chain disruptions) and delivers personalized alerts to businesses based on their configured profiles.
3. Account
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- One account per person or business entity
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without our written consent
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
5. Alerts and Information Disclaimer
This is the most important section. Please read carefully.
- Canarist provides informational alerts based on publicly available data sources. Alerts are not financial advice, legal advice, or professional consulting.
- Alerts are generated by AI systems and may contain inaccuracies, incomplete information, or false positives. You are responsible for verifying any information before making business decisions.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any alert or information provided through the Service.
- Canarist does not recommend specific actions. All business decisions based on our alerts are made at your own risk and discretion.
- We are not liable for any business losses, missed opportunities, or damages resulting from acting (or failing to act) on information provided by the Service.
6. Subscription and Payment
- Free trial: 14 days, no credit card required
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe
- Prices are listed on our website and may change with 30 days' notice
- You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
- No refunds for partial months, except as required by applicable law
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, AI models, and content, is owned by Canarist and protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes.
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Canarist and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Canarist is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
